TOWN COMPTROLLER – TOWN OF
Seeking a successful candidate appointed by the Town Board
for a 2yr. Responsibilities inc.:
organizing & planning the work of the comptroller’s staff to direct the
fiscal management of the town’s finances.
Responsibilities include/not limited to: the preparation & execution
of the town budget ($30 million); auditing of financial accounts; examination
of claims & payment of receipts; short & long term financial planning
for capital projects; monitoring of bonded debt; conferring with town officials
on formulation of fiscal policy; managing payroll for all town employees;
rendering reports on statistical and financial statements as
required/requested; advising other departments on proper accounting procedures.
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, bus. admin., public admin.
or related field, management & interpersonal
skills, minimum of 5yrs in municipal finance & good knowledge of NYS town
